Memorial Day Weekend

We went up to the lake for Memorial Day weekend. The weather was actually perfect (7 times out of 10 it is raining when we go up). We all had a great time playing outside: on the boat, hiking, and playing in the water. The girls are old enough now that they have a blast! I think they asked to go out on the boat at least 100 times a day! Here are some pictures from the weekend...

Abby all geared up to go on the boat

Claire would not go in the water, so she hung out with Leslie and I on the shore.

The girls LOVE the boat!

Preschool Graduate!

Last Wednesday was Abby's last day of preschool. She is officially a big kindergartner! They had a cute presentation with lots of songs. We are ready to be able to sleep in and not have to get ready for anything (Other than the pool of course!)

Brave Abby

Abby has always told me she was going to wait until she was 10 to get her ears pierced. This weekend Abby and I were at the mall and she declared "I want to get my ears pierced today!" So I told her we would go into the store and check it out. We got in there and she climbed right up into the chair and told me she was sure. Abby is such a worrier, I figured I would just go with it so she wouldn't worry about it for days. They wouldn't do both ears at the same time (which annoyed my). After the first one, she looked up at me trying to be brave(there was a huge crowd watching), but started sobbing! We almost couldn't do the other one. She took one look at her ears in the mirrow and got a huge smile on her face. First, of course, we had to call her cousin Olivia to tell her. Since then she has had to wear her hair back everyday so she can show everyone she runs into.

The Mini

After months of late night runs and long weekend runs the, Ryan completed the mini! We are so proud of him! His final time 2:19. The girls thought is was so cool that he was running in a race and Abby kept telling him "Dad, I think you are going to win the race!"
